An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Business Administrator to work 37.5 hours per week at the Staffordshire Training Hub (STH) and join the team on a permanent basis. This role provides an opportunity to support the delivery of varied and innovative programmes, aimed at supporting the NHS and the Primary Care workforce in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent (SSOT).

The Staffordshire Training Hub is hosted by GP First Ltd, commissioned and funded by NHS England (NHSE) on a not-for-profit basis and works closely with the SSOT Integrated Care System (ICS).

The STH design and deliver sustainable solutions to ensure the local Primary Care multi-professional workforce feels empowered, and has the necessary skills, competencies, resilience and confidence to deliver excellent patient care.

It provides a platform for the workforce retention, education and training opportunities for all clinical and non-clinical General Practice staff within their local footprint. The objective for the STH is to develop and support the General Practice short, medium and long-term workforce training, educational and retention needs.

Ideal Candidate



This post will be office based in Stafford and suit a self-motivated, experienced Administrator with (as a minimum) intermediate Microsoft Office skills including Excel, Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.

The candidate must be experienced and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and running multiple projects concurrently. The candidate must hold excellent communication and organisational skills; with the ability to work autonomously, prioritise own workload and manage multiple tasks.

If invited to interview, all candidates will be required to undertake a Microsoft Office on-line assessment, as part of the interview.



The Business Administrator's responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Managing courses and programmes, including administering the course booking platform (Medtribe), advertising courses, liaising with providers, and keeping the team updated on course uptake. Co-ordinating applications for various STH projects and programmes, ensuring all documents are logged and delegate communications are sent in a timely manner. Supporting the planning and organisation of courses and events, including catering, venue bookings, and liaising with programme leads Compiling electronic surveys via Survey Monkey for evaluation and reporting purposes. Maintaining and updating the STH website and CMS platforms, including uploading courses and programmes. Managing STH social media accounts (LinkedIn and Facebook). Producing bulletins and flyers using Canva and MailChimp. Arranging meetings (face-to-face and via MS Teams) and taking minutes, either live or from recordings. Responding to telephone queries, including signposting individuals or organisations as appropriate. Daily management of both the STH generic email inbox and personal inbox, ensuring timely responses and escalating matters to the team as needed. Working collaboratively with the administration team to support delivery of STH courses, programmes, and schemes. Providing administration support to the wider STH team as required. Managing ad-hoc projects as required. Prioritising conflicting deadlines and managing time effectively in a busy environment. Ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all correspondence, records, and data entry. Adhering to GDPR and data protection principles when handling delegate or stakeholder information. Demonstrating flexibility, initiative, and resilience in a fast-paced environment. Occasional travel to training venues or external events as required.
