We are looking to appoint a Business Analyst (BA) who is a conscientious individual, confident, enthusiastic and motivated in their approach to work. This BA role will bring you to the heart of our organisation working within the Business Improvement and Change team. The team manage a wide range of projects which are helping improve the way we deliver services to our residents.




If you like a role that offers variety and each working day to be different, this is the job for you. We are a small unitary authority which means we can make things happen quickly and there is always something new and interesting happening.



You will need to be an experienced BA who has excellent analytical skills, effective communication abilities, and are solution focused. This role can accommodate office based or hybrid working, depending on your preference.

This position is for a fixed term of 17 months from the start date, ending 19th December 2026.

Skills





Essential:Be familiar with a range of process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean systems thinking, customer journey mapping, design thinking etc). Ability to effectively manage own workload, with effective time management skills, including the ability to act pro-actively in identifying requirements, and assist others in delivering outcomes in a challenging environment. Demonstrate an ability to think creatively, provide inventive solutions to problems and confidently take those solutions forward for success.

This role requires the ability to fulfil all spoken aspects of the role with confidence and fluency in English.

Knowledge





Essential:Proven knowledge and understanding of the effective use of approved methods, procedures and standards. Working knowledge and practice of business process management. Up to date knowledge of computer systems i.e. the ability to use software packages such as Microsoft Office (including Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc).

Experience & Qualifications





Essential:Experience of business process improvement and application of tools and techniques to map, review and streamline processes. Experience of managing relationships with stakeholders at all levels through effective engagement and communication. Educated to degree level standard (including HND, professional / enhanced skill qualification) or equivalent, or proven relevant experience of supporting business change.
