Who we\'re looking for

Schroders Capital is the private asset division of Schroders, providing investors with access to a broad range of private asset investment opportunities, portfolio building blocks and customised private asset strategies. To support continuing growth of Schroders Capital, we are looking for a Business Change Manager capable of leading diverse and time bound programs.

The programs led by the successful individual will enable more flexible and efficient services, ensuring compliance to regulations, improved customer experience, better use of technology, better UX, realising target operating models and delivering leaner processes.

We require an individual with an excellent track record of delivering large projects & programmes across the Private Assets and ideally the Real Estate Business. It is expected that the individual will manage Business Analysts and potentially other SME\'s as well as delivery dependencies with external suppliers and internal teams.

This role will be accountable to the Head of Change - Private Assets, but will also work significantly with business sponsors.

The team

You will report into the central group Business Transformation team, which designs and delivers solutions to complex, strategic change and consists of a number of specialist practices leveraged across the group, of which the Advisory team is one.

You will be working very closely with the recently established change practice within Schroders Capital, which designs and delivers solutions specifically for Schroders Capital and its business areas (Private Equity, Real Estate, Infrastructure, Private Debt and Credit Alternatives). We are a building a friendly, supportive and collaborative team comprising of Change Managers and Business Analysts who manage the delivery of Schroders Capital wide cross-domain change programmes and projects.

What you\'ll do

  • Manage the delivery of complex projects & programmes
  • Work with the senior stakeholders to ensure clear, consistent reporting and to ensure that the deliverables of projects/programmes remain clearly focused on business outcomes
  • Present strategic decisions to senior stakeholders such as the COO of Real Estate, Schroders Capital COO, Deputy Group COO etc.
  • Support Business Analysts and co-ordinate other resources within matrix management of the departments from which they will be provided
  • Manage communication of progress and changes to the wider organisation
  • Ensure financial diligence & reporting of the programme is adhered to working to secure delivery within budget.
  • Excellent risk management
  • Manage dependencies to/from adjacent programmes of work
  • Practice, develop and promote the use of Group Change standards for change
The knowledge, experience and qualifications you need
  • Experience and knowledge of Private Assets Asset Management and Real Estate
  • Understanding of delivery in both Waterfall & Agile manners, and understanding of the Lean approach.
  • Proven delivery record of projects/programmes
  • Ability to manage and motivate diverse sets of teams across multiple functions.
  • Evidence of multiple senior stakeholder management
  • Strong collaborative skills and when appropriate influence across a broad, senior stakeholder base
  • Ability to deliver difficult messages where necessary and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders
  • Evidence of resolving challenging issues and contributing to end state solution
  • Methodical and detail orientated
  • Ability to make trade-offs to ensure priority value items are delivered
  • Ability to drive decisions, define and agree improvements and strategic changes
The knowledge, experience and qualifications that will help
  • Experience of SAFe working practices is desirable
  • Basic professional qualifications relating to the asset management industry (such as IMC)
