About the role
Compliance is a key team that ensures Revolut's products and processes meet the regulatory requirements and translate this into the best customer outcomes. They've got an outstanding ability to find solutions and carry out testing in a purely digital environment. Those data-driven experts know that better people and machines are the most effective way of managing conduct risk.
We're looking for an experienced Data Protection Business Compliance Manager to lead data protection and privacy compliance efforts within the first line of defense at Revolut. Someone who's excited to work in a fast-paced environment, ensuring the effective execution of our group's data protection and privacy policy, procedures, risk, and control frameworks across the company.

What you'll be doing
Executing the Group Data Protection and Privacy Program in 1LOD in alignment with 2LOD guidance
Embedding data protection requirements into products and services
Implementing the risk and control framework across 1LOD and monitoring changes
Collaborating with Business Compliance and Risk Managers to identify and mitigate data protection risks in business processes
Overseeing remediation actions across 1LOD
Embedding core data governance activities (i.e., personal data classification, data mapping, ROPA coordination) within 1LOD
Implementing and maintaining appropriate data protection safeguards for international data transfers following transfer impact assessments
Undertaking regulatory mapping and implementing change projects under 2LOD oversight
Implementing and maintaining data protection KPIs, KRIs, and BCIs
Developing methods to measure data protection maturity and compliance across 1LOD
Reporting results to the Group Data Protection Officer and supporting the global privacy program
Raising awareness of data protection responsibilities and minimum standards within 1LOD
What you'll need
Background in a 1LOD data protection compliance role within fintech or banking
Understanding of UK and EU GDPR and other relevant data protection regulations
A solid understanding of the interplay between compliance risk and business risk
Track record implementing and maintaining controls within a risk and control framework
Effective cross-functional communication with internal teams
Demonstrated sound judgement and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
Adaptability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-performance environment
Capacity to manage multiple projects under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Nice to have
Certification in data protection or privacy, such as CIPP or CIPM*
