About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded Business Continuity Manager to join the Real Estate and Administration department. This is a key role within the global Real Estate & Workplace Centre of Excellence (CoE) team. The Business Continuity Manager (Global) is responsible for developing, maintaining, and testing the Company\'s business continuity program. The manager will support all business plan activities necessary to enable the Organization to manage a crisis event as well as meet compliance requirements for BCP (Business Continuity Planning).

The position\'s primary goals will be to Identify, document and test business needs against the Company present plans and accordingly to identify recovery strategies and gaps across circa 6000 colleagues and 180 sites.

Reporting into the Head of Safety & Security Estates the post-holder will partner with all OUP\xe2\x80\x99s business divisions to develop and implements BCP policies, ensuring consistent delivery across the global portfolio.

We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You

With the ability to build strong, trusting relationships and effectively influence and gain support for ideas the successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following skills and experiences:

  • Certified Business Continuity Planner Preferred Qualifications: CBCI, MBCI, CBCB or similar
  • Experience of managing business continuity within an organization, ideally within multiple locations/regions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with the ability to work with a great degree of autonomy
Although not a regular part of the role this person we need to have the ability to work nights and weekends during a crisis event along with the willingness and ability to travel to support the business as and when applicable.
