2. WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:



We are seeking a

Business Developer

to develop new commercial opportunities, sales strategies, and build relationships that drive company growth and revenue. The role involves managing a pipeline of early-adopter global customers ranging from luxury fashion brands to cosmetics companies. Key to the role is taking customers on a discovery journey, through the steps of initial conversations and sampling tests, to funded proof-of-concept projects, joint developments and commercial product delivery.

Key responsibilities:

Build

strong, long-term relationships with clients, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.

Generate

leads, including through industry networking and cold outreach.

-

Lead

customer pitches, develop pricing strategy, proposals and quotes, negotiate deals towards successfully closing.

Collaborate

with internal teams to develop customised solutions that meet client requirements ensuring high-quality commercial delivery and customer-centric execution of projects.

-

Maintain

a CRM system, managing client information, monitoring sales pipelines, tracking performance and KPIs, delivering data-driven strategic insights.

-

Maintain

regular contact with existing clients to identify upselling opportunities.

-

Research

new markets, analyse trends, and identify potential growth opportunities to ensure successful competitive positioning.

-

Represent

the company globally at tradeshows and other events.

3. YOUR PROFILE & QUALIFICATIONS:



Being an effective, charming and persuasive communicator, you know how to gather information and navigate the needs of different clients and win key contracts by building strong relationships. You find your way to the highest potential leads and manage multiple global customer relationships across industry sectors.

Your profile:



- Experience in selling

speciality chemicals, inks, dyes, pigments, colourants, polymers or materials.



- Familiarity with brands and/or manufacturers in at least one of our early-adopter market verticals, that is,

fashion or cosmetics

.

- Proven ability to

manage customers and accounts

in an innovation-led environment.

- Experience

supporting PR and events

, including with external marketing/branding service providers.

- Excellent

communication & storytelling

skills, both in writing and verbally, showing passion, accuracy and respect to every partner you communicate with.

- High

attention to detail

, documenting and reporting sales insights, and aligning with internal as well as external stakeholders.

Brilliant and confident

in meeting partners and presenting at trade shows and business conferences.

Can-do, hands-on, adaptable attitude

motivated by mission-driven growth and long-term value creation.

- Fluency in English;

French, Italian, Portuguese or German is highly advantageous

.

Your qualifications:



- At least two years of sales & marketing experience in a commercial or industrial setting.

- A postgraduate qualification in marketing or business (e.g., CIM, MBA) is a plus.

4. BENEFITS & CONDITIONS:

Location:

Central Cambridge, UK. Flexible working arrangement available with the possibility to work remotely within Europe. International travel 10-20%. Applicants must be willing to spend 50-75% of their time at our headquarters.

Estimated remuneration:

40 - 60K with early employee share option package. Relocation package available.
