As an In-Comm Business Development Advisor, you will be the face of our brand-driving growth, fostering meaningful partnerships and showcasing our passion for apprenticeships, training and consultancy. You'll play a key role in expanding our client base, strengthening existing relationships, and identifying new opportunities to help businesses and individuals thrive through skills development.

Main Duties



Client engagement & Relationship Building.

Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing customers. Serve as a trusted advisor, understanding client needs and aligning In-Comm's solutions to deliver value.
Sales & Business Growth.

Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities for apprenticeships, training, and consultancy. Conduct client visits, presentations, and negotiations to close sales and achieve monthly targets. Maintain a robust sales pipeline and manager the full sales cycle from prospecting to closure.
Market Insight & Development.

Monitor and report on market trends, customer needs, and competitor activities. Provide feedback to influence future products, promotions and service enhancements. Represent In-Comm at trade exhibitions, networking events, and industry meetings.
Operational Excellence.

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth order processing and customer satisfaction. Keep the CRM database up to date with accurate customer and sales information. Ensure professional standards and brand integrity are upheld in every client interaction.

Key Objectives



Achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets. Develop and maintain a consistent pipeline of qualified leads. Strengthen In-Comm's reputation as a leading training and apprenticeship provider.

Expectations



Proven experience in B2B sales, business development or account management. Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills. A proactive and results-driven mindset, with a passion for people and growth. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. A team player who can also work independently to meet targets.

Qualifications



Essential

GCSE Mathematics at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent). GCSE English at Grade 4 or above (or equivalent).

Experience



Desirable

Demonstrated sales success and achievement of targets Experience with engineering, manufacturing or training environments.

Knowledge



Essential

Strong understanding of business operations and market dynamics.
Desirable

Knowledge of apprenticeship frameworks and vocational training

Skills



Essential

Confident user of Customer Relationship Management Tools and MS Office applications. Strong written and verbal communication across all levels.
Desirable

Excellent organisational and administrative ability.

Personal Attributes



Essential

Self-motivated, pro-active and results-orientated. Ability to handle rejection and maintain a positive outlook. Persistent and focused on achieving targets and outcomes. Represents their employer with integrity, enthusiasm and pride.

Additional Requirements



Ability to, and willingness to travel across West Midlands, Staffordshire and Shropshire. Flexibility to attend events, exhibitions or client visits outside standard hours.
