To work within the Software Development team to assist the capabilities of developing software which fit with the current projects and critical development plans and overall goals within the business. Contributing towards delivering a comprehensive, secure, effective, and legally compliant service for VES, which meets the needs of the organisation and achieves value for money.
Responsibilities
Be able to demonstrate and apply simple code for discrete software components and follow the Software Development Lifecycle
Responsible for developing and maintaining software through the PowerApps platform.
Have an understanding and be able for development principles and be able to escalate any issues to the Software Developer and/or IT Team Leader
Make simple connections between code and defined data sources
Be able to follow basic analysis models
Follow organisational and industry coding practices and be able to clearly articulate these the components, so a fix and creative solution can be found
Be able to operate within a change environment at all levels, across the business. So, that internal customers feel valued and responded to
Be able to develop user interfaces and continuously grow your technical knowledge, so you are able to initiate and recommend solutions independently
Implement and test code following a logical approach
The post holder is required to understand and demonstrate the ability to work flexibly for the benefit of the IT team and for the business and to take on new projects and initiatives that are considered to fall within the duties and responsibilities of the job role.
Support in the delivery of the strategy for the organisation and IT Department, ensuring all policies, procedures, safe systems of work and risk assessments are followed and understand the context within your own role/work
Work collaboratively with all levels of the business to support business vision and values, ensuring new designs are created effectively and consistently to the required performance
To install, update and maintain the Visual AHU product ensuring consistency and accuracy across the business
To raise and manage support tickets related to BS - Development through the company ticketing platform adhering to KPI's set by the IT Manager
Communicating effectively between Business Systems and other VES staff members to ensure ongoing support tickets are understood
Periodically assist Business Systems Support with tickets deemed necessary by the IT Manager
Any other duties deemed appropriate by your Business Systems Development Team Leader or IT Manager
