We are looking for an experienced and talented Business Development Assistant to assist the Commercial Director & Senior Management team on the development and implementation of BSB Engineering Services business development strategy, entailing developing and maintaining a network of contacts, elevating the BSB brand and organising relevant events to position BSB Engineering Services as the market leader for our customers.
Responsibilities
Business Development & Market Research
Assist in identifying new business opportunities and managing the company's pipeline database.
Support the sales team in gathering market intelligence, researching potential clients, competitors, and sectors.
Help track project leads and upcoming opportunities
Ensure business opportunities are effectively shared across the UK Maico group business, through CRM system
Prepare presentation materials for meetings and events.
Events & Networking Support
Input into business development events, including roundtable discussions, industry networking events, and client engagement.
Working with our marketing agency, you will assist in the planning and execution of marketing campaigns, new product launches and supporting business development objectives to delivery targeted brand awareness and business growth
Attend industry events and customer visits, taking notes and reporting key takeaways to the Commercial Director.
Administration & Coordination
Implementing UK wide group company CRM system (Capsule) to ensure leads are nurtured and kept up to date with UK Group wide opportunities.
Ensuring relevant customer and market information is gathered and kept current, to support business development opportunities and market analysis.
Organising meetings and ensuring notes of meetings are recorded
Assist in preparing presentations and documents for opportunities meetings
What are we looking for?
Interest in business development and strategic marketing planning within the construction sector, though market research, event attendance and collaboration with the sales managers to maximise leverage of group product portfolio to grow sales within the UK
Candidates with prior experience in strategic marketing, business development and a marketing support role would have an advantage, but new entry graduates from the right discipline will also be considered.
Graduate from within either mechanical engineering / construction or relevant business administration or marketing disciplines
You will have strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with confidence in professional environments.
Networking ability being comfortable interacting with people at various seniority levels.
Proactive mindset and keen to take initiative and contribute ideas.
Attention to detail ensuring accuracy in reports and business development data.
Team player, willing to support colleagues and learn from experienced professionals.
Excellent IT skills including all Microsoft packages
Full driving license
