Role Overview

Key Responsibilities




Driving Growth



Support and evolve our UK retail strategy in line with business goals. Build a strong pipeline and set clear revenue targets. Lead tenders, proposals, and commercial negotiations. Expand existing accounts and open doors to new ones. Forge partnerships with property managers, consultants, and retail leaders. Stay ahead of market trends and competitor activity. Collaborate with our Marketing team to craft compelling value propositions. Represent Bidvest Noonan at industry events and forums.

Leading People


Be a role model for positivity, respect, and collaboration. Support our Pathways to Success programme to help colleagues grow. Celebrate achievements and foster a culture of recognition. Building Customer Relationships


Develop trusted relationships with key decision-makers. Understand customer needs and tailor solutions accordingly. Work in partnership with our Innovation team to deliver tailored offerings. Share best practices across our GB and Ireland teams. Ensure compliance with procurement rules and contract standards.

Proven experience in business development, ideally within retail and facilities management. Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills. Strategic thinking with hands-on execution ability. Drive accountability, results, and continuous improvement. Collaborate across teams to ensure smooth contract delivery. Use data and insights to guide decisions and measure success.

Qualifications





Full clean driving licence. Bachelor's degree or equivalent;



Knowledge, Experience and Skills



Proven track record within the UK market in business development, successful sales of complex solutions/services consulting and service delivery. Deep knowledge of the UK retail market. Prior experience launching new offerings/entering new markets. Developing and implementing business development strategies. Experience managing large-value contracts / tenders, pricing strategy, commercial negotiations. Strong stakeholder management: ability to engage with senior/ executive-level decision makers. Proven ability to develop sales pipelines, manage tender planning schedules and complete bid documents. Exceptional knowledge of pipeline development, driving strong customer retention. Ability to build, motivate and develop teams. Cross-functional collaboration. Strategic thinking, analytical skills, commercial acumen; able to interpret market data, forecast, set objectives. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to manage ambiguity, work in fast-moving environment, adapt to changes in policy or market. Ability to remove barriers and drive innovation. Ability to use a creative approach to influence at all levels, leading the team to meet demanding targets and deadlines within a modern, fast-paced environment and creating a "can do" culture. Ability to assimilate facts quickly and use to articulate benefits and / or risks both internally and externally. Extensive experience in retail sector. Prior experience building or launching new offerings / entering new markets.
