The Role
This hands-on role combines field sales with broader business development. You'll grow our presence in cafes, coffee shops, independent retailers, and supermarkets while supporting strategic projects that shape how the brand expands. It's ideal for someone looking to build a commercial career in FMCG with exposure to both retail and OOH operations.
What You'll Be Doing
OOH and field sales
Build and manage relationships with cafes, coffee shops, restaurants, coffee roasters, and foodservice partners.
Secure new accounts and represent the brand confidently in meetings.
Deliver product training and presentations to support customer onboarding.
Retail and wholesale engagement
Support supermarket and independent retail calls, keeping Oato top of mind for buyers and store managers.
Ensure a consistent, high quality presence across all customer types.
Market development
Conduct competitor and market research to identify opportunities and trends.
Tailor sales approaches and account strategies to meet customer needs.
Attend trade shows and events to showcase the brand.
Training and progression
Work closely with the Commercial Director and Senior National Account Manager, following structured training and coaching.
Build capabilities that lead to progression into Business Development Manager or Account Management roles.
What We're Looking For
Field sales or customer-facing experience. Graduates with relevant interests are also encouraged.
Strong communication skills across phone, email, social media, and face-to-face.
Confident presenting and educating customers.
A positive, proactive mindset with the ability to work independently.
Curiosity about how brands grow in retail and OOH environments.
Adaptability and resilience in a fast-moving SME.
Interest in sustainability, food innovation, and oat milk.
Digital literacy, with Google Office knowledge as a plus.
A Full UK driving licence.
