Internal Business Development Executive - JACQUET UK Limited
Jacquet UK are one of the largest processors of stainless steel and high value metals in the UK. Using methods such as Laser, Plasma, Waterjet and Saw cutting, we supply material into major industrial sectors in the UK. We supply a whole range of quality pieces to companies all over the UK. We are a Global Brand and are seeking a dedicated Internal Business Development Executive to join our team in Darwen . The sales office in Darwen opened in early 2025 and now we are looking to expand the team.
This is an excellent opportunity for enthusiastic individuals to join a growing company, part of the Jacquet Metals group, which has over 100 distribution facilities and employs 3500 people worldwide. The business currently has plans for expansion in the UK and has been selling in the UK since 1997.
A wealth of product knowledge is preferred for this role and although training will be provided, experience in Stainless Steel and Nickel Alloys is required.
The successful applicant will be required to promote growth and develop new business for the company. An extensive list of target customers in the UK will be provided to assist the successful candidate develop sales for the company.
This is not an internal sales role dealing with existing clients. The ideal candidate will be involved in all aspects of selling through enquiry, to quotation, to order, to follow up stage for any new business created.
Full training will be provided.
Key responsibilities include:
Specific tasks include:
Generating new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls, emails, and marketing campaigns.
Build relationships to understand our customer needs and requirements.
Maintain and expand your database of prospects.
Ensure that all quotes are followed up within a time frame and that the appropriate people are given feedback in relation to these quotes.
Ensure customer, supplier and competitor activity, are fully understood so as inform the development of realistic and achievable sales.
Develop a portfolio of sales targets, within our product range and processing capabilities, that will generate growth for the business.
Promote other products from group.
The ideal candidate must be/have:
Have at least 2 years experience selling stainless steel or other metals
Knowledge of cutting processes such as Laser, Plasma, Waterjet and Sawn
Hardworking and sales driven;
Confident and literate;
Possess excellent numeracy skills;
IT literate on Microsoft Office.
The role is 37.5 hours per week.
Monday to Friday.
Holidays are 23 days + Statutory days.
