Our client is a growing consultancy that supports organisations operating in industrial and technology-led sectors. They provide research-led insight and data services that help businesses plan, evaluate opportunities, and make informed commercial decisions.
As the company continues to expand its client base, they are now looking to add a Business Development Executive to support early-stage commercial activity and client engagement.
The Role
This is an entry-level business development role focused on identifying potential client opportunities and supporting the wider commercial team. You will be responsible for initiating conversations with prospective organisations, understanding their needs, and helping determine whether the company's services are a suitable fit.
The role offers structured training and ongoing support, making it suitable for graduates or individuals looking to begin a career in a commercial or client-facing position.
Key Responsibilities
Research target markets and identify organisations aligned with the company's services
Engage prospective clients through professional outreach channels
Gather initial information to understand business challenges and priorities
Arrange introductory calls, briefings, or demonstrations with senior team members
Maintain accurate records of interactions and activity using CRM systems
Work collaboratively with sales and marketing colleagues to support outreach activity
Training & Development
Structured onboarding and induction programme
Training on products, markets, and commercial processes
Regular feedback and one-to-one support
Development opportunities into account management or senior commercial roles over time
Salary & Benefits
30,000 base salary, depending on experience
Commission structure linked to role performance
Hybrid working arrangement based in Falmouth

About You
No prior experience in business development is required. This role may suit someone who:
Is comfortable communicating with professionals by phone and online
