FertileFibre is a UK-based compost manufacturer with over 30 years experience producing high-quality, organic, peat-free compost. With growing demand for sustainable growing media, the business is well positioned for expansion. We are now seeking a motivated Business Development professional to help grow our customer base and drive revenue as we enter this next phase of growth.
The successful candidate will be willing to support other areas of the business as needed to ensure smooth day-to-day operations and overall company success. This may include collaborating closely with operations, marketing, customer service, and management, assisting with process improvements, and stepping in where required during busy periods.
Duties
Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities
Generate leads through outbound sales, networking, and referrals
Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing clients
Prepare proposals, quotes, and sales documentation
Manage the sales pipeline and maintain accurate CRM records
Meet or exceed agreed sales targets and KPIs
Requirements
Proven experience in sales or business development (B2B or B2C)
Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
Self-motivated, confident, and target-driven
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
Comfortable using CRM systems and sales tools
Professional, positive, and resilient attitude
Understanding of consultative or solution-based selling
