Our strong UK presence, combined with an expanding international footprint, has created an exciting opportunity for a motivated and customer-focused Business Development Executive to join us during a period of continued growth.
The Role
We are looking for an ambitious and dynamic individual who thrives on building relationships and uncovering new business opportunities. You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and managing new sales opportunities across the UK and internationally, taking a hands-on approach to customer engagement from initial contact through to after-sales support.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership of their pipeline, is confident engaging with customers via phone, email or face-to-face, and wants to play a key role in shaping the future growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively identify and develop new sales leads and business opportunities
Build and manage your own sales pipeline in line with targets and margin expectations
Respond to inbound enquiries via phone and email
Develop strong relationships with prospective and existing customers
Prepare and issue customer quotations
Visit customer sites across the UK and occasionally overseas to understand requirements and identify opportunities or close deals
Manage ongoing relationships with corporate groups, and identify routes for expanding those relationships.
Act as a product champion, providing training and support to customers
Support customers throughout the full sales lifecycle, from enquiry through to after-sales care
Accurately maintain customer and sales information within the CRM system
Experience & Requirements
Minimum of 2 years' experience in a sales-based role (4 years preferred)
Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment is desirable but not essential
Degree-level education or equivalent is desirable but not essential
Full UK driving licence is required
Willingness to travel regularly within the UK
