We are an established soft landscaping contractor delivering commercial projects across London and the South East. We focus on specialist schemes such as roof terraces, living walls and interior plants. We work closely with main contractors, developers, architects, facilities managers and consultants, supporting schemes from pre-construction through to delivery on site and ongoing maintenance.
As part of our growth, we are looking to recruit a Business Development Executive to focus primarily on London main contractors and live construction opportunities.
The Role
This is an outbound business development role. Your job is to proactively identify opportunities, open doors with the right people, and generate a consistent pipeline of qualified leads - primarily within London's construction market but also including other regions and sectors.
You will predominantly focus on main contractors, supported by relationships with developers, architects, surveyors and end-users where relevant.
This is not a closing or estimating role -- success is measured by meetings secured, projects identified, and tenders generated.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively target London-based main contractors and end-users.
Identify upcoming projects and tender opportunities
Carry out outbound prospecting via phone, email and networking events
Secure introductory meetings with commercial and pre-construction teams
Build long-term relationships with key decision-makers
Maintain accurate CRM records of activity and contacts
Attend meetings and networking events across London, Cambridge and other cities
About You
Experience in business development, sales or lead generation
Confident with cold calling and outbound outreach
Comfortable dealing with commercial managers, buyers and pre-construction teams
Well organised, self-motivated and target-driven
Knowledge of construction, landscaping or subcontractor markets is highly desirable
Full UK driving licence preferred
