We are looking for a proactive, results-driven Business Development Executive to accelerate the growth of our B2B sales pipeline. You will play a key role in identifying new opportunities, engaging early-stage prospects and generating interest in our commercial motor fleet insurance solutions. Acting as a vital link between marketing and the sales team, you will convert interest into high-quality, qualified opportunities.

Ideally, you will have experience in online and outbound prospecting and B2B customer engagement.

The plan will be to grow this team within the next 6 - 12 months and your career progression could involve recruiting, training and supervising additional team members.

We are expanding our Business Development team and are looking to bring onboard a full time Business Development Executive.

This is an office-based role in Liverpool (L5) or Manchester (M12) office working alongside our Insurance Sales and Marketing teams.

Salary; 35,000 OTE - 30,000 basic + 5000 annual performance bonus (Paid quarterly)

What you'll be doing within the role,



Contacting relevant Businesses (new and existing customers), via online and offline prospecting, to explain our offers and services.

You won't be targeted on direct sales, as sales are managed by the specialist insurance sales advisor team. Targets are focused around on learning more about our customers' needs and the number of customers you speak too.

Researching relevant companies.

Account Management - Supporting our existing customers.

Networking within the Industry to create your own connections and relationships with base managers and owners and managing your own accounts.

Attending relevant trade events and occasionally visiting clients accompanied by our Account managers.

Keeping our business database up to date with relevant information.

Internet and trade media research along with speaking to the businesses directly will be part of this role.

Helping our Account Managers with account management, basic research, and some basic administration. (Order form creation, Sales Quotes, etc).

Working with the Marketing team to create marketing campaigns and communications to promote our services into the prospect and client database and creation of marketing assets for existing clients.

Working with Business Development team to plan out the activity for that week and beyond, Including scheduling meetings.

Running and distributing weekly, monthly and ad hoc reports.

What abilities does the person who are we looking for have?



Minimum 12 months in a Business Development, Telesales or Sales role.

Comfortable initiating contact with people over the phone or connecting via online networking and creating a positive rapport.

Very high attention to detail - ensuring we have accurately recorded data is one of the keys to our ongoing success.

Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects at the same time.

Putting the customer first - by listening and delivering first class services to our clients we can continue to grow and thrive as a business.

Someone who works well within a team - we have a great team sprit within the business, and we want all new colleagues to fit in well and enjoy working with us.

Solution focused - the market is continuing changing and we need to adapt to that. We want someone who's always looking to walk towards a problem to solve it, not walk away from it.

These elements will give you an advantage in the application process.



Knowledge of the UK Taxi, Motor Trade or Motor Fleet industry. Experience of working within a financial services regulated company.

Benefits.

Interview process



We operate a three-stage interview process, with the first stage being a short video call to give you more information about the role.

There is then up to 2 rounds of face-to-face meetings at one of our offices to discuss the role in more detail, allow you to see the offices and meet the wider team. We'll also discuss your previous roles, responsibilities and experience.
