Role: Business Development Executive

Location: East Midlands - Field Based (2 days in office)

Package: 28,000 - 32,000 DOE + performance bonus (circa 40,000 OTE) + car allowance.

Business Development Executive

to join their expanding retail team.

This is a high-impact role at a key stage of the company's growth. As a Business Development Executive, you'll be the face of the business in the retail world - nurturing relationships, opening new doors, and ensuring the brand looks and performs its best in-store.

You'll split your time between the field and the office, collaborating with the wider commercial and marketing teams to plan activity, share insights, and help drive the next phase of growth.

This role is ideal for someone who's ambitious, people-focused, and thrives in a hands-on, fast-moving environment.

What will you do?

Build and strengthen relationships with retail and trade partners across the region. Identify and secure new business opportunities with independent and regional retailers. Visit stores regularly to audit merchandising, check compliance, and champion the brand. Support launches, promotions, and in-store activations that drive visibility and sales. Deliver training sessions for store teams to enhance product knowledge. Gather and share insights from the field - customer feedback, competitor activity, and market trends. Spend two days per week in office, working closely with the commercial team on plans and performance.

Knowledge and skills required

Experience in business development, field sales, or retail account management (FMCG preferred). A strong commercial mindset with a passion for growth and relationship-building. Confident communication skills and the ability to influence at all levels. Organised, proactive, and self-motivated - comfortable balancing fieldwork and office collaboration. A genuine love and enthusiasm for premium, purposeful brands.
