GBR Technology are a supplier of specialist high-end lubricants into a wide range of sectors within UK manufacturing. We have been trading for 31 years and are enjoying a period of growth. As a Company we distribute for some large multi-nationals but also have a range of own brand products.

To support our existing business and to grow our business further we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our sales team and develop their skills and career in a sales setting. You will have a strong interest in a career in industrial sales and business development and be able to pick up the technical aspects of the products being sold and the markets they are going into.

You will be confident, organised and trustworthy and you will possess the drive to overcome obstacles and generate business success. You will enjoy meeting and interacting with people and be confident on the phone, able to generate leads and also to be a good communicator by email.

You will be able to negotiate contracts and close deals, be able to present convincing and professional proposals and to come up with good sales strategies based on researching markets and liaising with others in the Company.

You will be able to work within cross functional teams within the organisation to help develop the strategy and refine materials for success in the markets you are developing (markets including food manufacturing as well as other manufacturing sectors).

The role would suit somebody with a minimum of 2 years of business development experience, ideally in a B to B setting. Experience within the lubrication or food manufacturing or general manufacturing industries would be beneficial. There will be on the job training. You will join a supportive team of 7 other sales staff and further support staff and will have your own unique position within the team.

You will be based within commuting distance from our office (located mid-way between Reading, Newbury and Basingstoke). After an induction period, you would ideally spend around 50% of your time visiting customers in person (and some use of video-conferencing) in the southern half of the UK (with some trips further afield). There will be some nights spent away during customer visit schedules, exhibitions and sales meetings.

The job comes with a good salary (matched to qualifications and experience) that will develop further over time, and there will be bonus elements within the package. A company car will also be provided.

Pay: 33,000.00-49,000.00 per year
