The Role
We are looking for a
driven Business Development Executive
to generate new revenue opportunities across our specialist brands.
This is a
pure outbound sales / business development role
, focused on
prospecting, lead generation, and early-stage opportunity qualification
. It is not an account management position.
This role will suit someone who enjoys
opening doors, creating pipeline, and being rewarded through commission
, rather than managing long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Proactively generate new B2B sales opportunities through outbound calling, email outreach, and follow-up of marketing leads
Identify, engage, and qualify prospective customers across gas detection, calibration, temperature measurement, and safety monitoring markets
Conduct structured discovery calls to understand customer requirements, applications, and buying intent
Convert qualified conversations into clear opportunities for:
Project-based system design and installation
Core product sales
Calibration and service delivery
Maintain accurate records of activity, leads, and opportunity status in the CRM
Work closely with sales management, project teams, and service teams to ensure clean, professional handovers
Support targeted upsell conversations around calibration services, service plans, and future projects
What We're Looking For
Essential
Experience in
outbound sales, business development, lead generation, or opportunity qualification
Confidence speaking with new prospects by phone
Strong communication and questioning skills
Ability to clearly document and qualify opportunities
Experience using CRM systems
Comfortable working to
activity targets and opportunity-based KPIs
Success in this role is measured by the quality and value of opportunities created, not accounts retained.
Desirable
Experience in B2B technical, engineering, safety, or compliance-led markets
Background in industrial, test & measurement, or service-based sales
What We Offer
35,000 basic salary
Uncapped commission based on gross profit generated
