About The Role Groundwork Northern Ireland are currently recruiting a part-time Business Development Lead who will be responsible for leading on commercial proposals, tender submissions and funding applications. They will develop and maintain relationships with funders, corporate donors, trusts and foundations and other third sector organisations. The post-holder will be a motivated and experienced individual with sound business acumen who will identify and develop new initiatives, markets and opportunities for income generation. They will be able to communicate clearly and work effectively with a range of key partners and stakeholders within a multi-disciplinary team, working with colleagues across the Trust and the Groundwork Federation. This role will be varied and rewarding and will play a key role in supporting the work of the Trust while supporting management and the promotion of Groundwork NI. The Business Development Lead will have excellent organisational abilities and attention to detail, as well as first-rate communication skills and the ability to work in a professional manner. They will be able to think creatively and come up with innovative solutions and be self-motivated, with a strong personal commitment to the values of Groundwork NI.   • At least 3 years\xe2\x80\x99 experience of successful income generation.
  • Experience of developing and managing key relationships and partnerships.
  • Experience of developing and delivering on a successful income generation plan
  • Experience of developing a pipeline of potential income based on relevant research.
  • A proven track record of writing successful high value proposals
  • Ability to communicate and effectively negotiate with partners and clients to ensure a high standard of customer relationship management
  • Ability to plan, organise own workload and deal with competing demands
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Fully proficient at using IT systems, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office packages
  • Full driving licence

Desired Criteria
  • Experience of partnership working and delivering on partnership projects.
  • Experience of developing and publishing content on social media
  • Experience in the Community and Voluntary Sector in Northern Ireland Understanding of the complex issues facing Northern Ireland communities
