Business Development Manager
to join our growing team and help accelerate our next phase of expansion.
About the Role
As a
Business Development Manager
, you will play a crucial role in identifying and converting new business opportunities while managing and nurturing existing relationships. You'll represent the company both internally and externally, proactively reaching out to new leads, attending client meetings, and promoting our products and services to decision-makers in relevant sectors.
This is a primarily office-based role in Hamilton, but we welcome candidates comfortable with occasional
in-person customer visits
as needed to develop stronger partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Identify, research and approach potential clients to generate new business
Build strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
Maintain and grow existing customer accounts by understanding their evolving needs
Arrange and attend client meetings, trade shows, and product demonstrations
Understand and promote the features and benefits of our electronics products
Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and sales presentations
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure client satisfaction and smooth handover
Maintain accurate records in our CRM system (Zoho)
Track sales performance and report on activity against targets
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments
What We're Looking For
Proven experience in business development, field sales, or B2B account management
Experience within the
electronics industry
or related technical sector (preferred)
Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
Confident making outbound calls, cold introductions, and in-person sales visits
Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and CRM software (Zoho preferred)
Commercially astute, target-driven, and highly self-motivated
A valid UK driving licence (preferred for customer visits)

Attractive bonus structure with realistic OTE of 55,000 to 65,000
