Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join our team at Business Travel Centre (BTC). Ideally office based or Hybrid, but will consider homeworking for the right person.

Key Responsibilities:



Identify new business opportunities - including new markets, growth areas, trends, customers, products and services and drive new business. Seek out the appropriate contacts in an organisation, generate leads and B2B outbound calling to prospect accounts/clients. Appointments and opportunities are confirmed and managed accordingly. Develop and manage a balanced sales pipeline to enable to consistently meet/exceed revenue and margin targets. Have an excellent understanding of the services we offer as a TMC and be able to promote these confidently to prospective new clients. Understand the needs of clients/accounts and be able to respond effectively with a plan of how BTC can meet and exceed these. Develop strategic plans based on competitor activities within the marketplace. Monitor and keep BTC active on social media to ensure continued presence and growth within the various channels used. Delivery of internal business targets and achieve personal set objectives. Prepare and deliver high quality presentations including tenders where required. Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate. Carry out sales forecasts and analysis and report to Management. Promote high levels of quality service and proactively identify opportunities for process improvement within the centre to optimize sales.

Requirements:



Must have a minimum of 3 years recent business sales skills in a corporate travel environment. Proven experience within the sales and tendering process for new business. Knowledge of the travel booking process and end to end management (Previous GDS experience preferred but not essential) Sales track record in managing clients spends of 500k-2m+ in revenue. Experience working with heads of procurement and working in sales environments with multiple stakeholders e.g. users, managers, HR, Finance, etc. Confidence in working in a technology driven environment in respect to both client solutions and internal processes/applications. Excellent IT competency - particularly Excel, Word, PowerPoint Must hold a full clean UK driving license Professional, articulate with excellent people skills Able to work on one's own initiative to generate own leads and follow up on prospect clients Open to new ideas and change, and able to adapt in an ever-evolving organisation. High accuracy and attention to detail Excellent communication skills; listening and questioning, and a polite, friendly telephone manner. A team player with a professional attitude towards colleagues.

Pay: 25,000.00-45,000.00 per year
