Home-based (covering sites Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, and surrounding areas, with occasional visits to our Milton Keynes Head Office and Birmingham Office.)

Salary:

30,000 base + Car Allowance + Uncapped Commission (OTE 40-45k+)

We are a rapidly growing, family-run, ethical Cleaning, Security, and Facilities Management business, passionate about people, places, and delivering great service. We're now looking for a driven Business Development Manager to focus on selling contract cleaning and driving new business across Birmingham, Coventry, Leicester, and the surrounding areas.

Role Overview:



As a Business Development Manager, you will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities in the contract commercial cleaning sector, specifically targeting private sector clients. The focus will be on office and industrial facilities, with additional opportunities across medical environments and educational settings. You will establish new relationships, manage a pipeline of prospects, and independently create and close opportunities.

Alongside selling our core office cleaning service, you will also have the opportunity to upsell and cross-sell additional services such as specialist cleaning, security, and wider facilities management packages, helping to provide integrated solutions for clients.

What You'll Do:



Generate Leads: Build a strong pipeline through networking, strategic outreach, and nurturing relationships with key decision-makers. Client Engagement: Develop meaningful relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions. Pipeline Management: Maintain a robust sales pipeline and a top 20 prospects list to keep momentum. Sales Ownership: Manage the full sales process from identifying opportunities to navigating complex decision-making structures and successfully closing deals. Collaborate with Teams: Work with operations and support teams to ensure proposals align with service capabilities. Meet and Exceed Targets: Achieve annual sales targets, contributing to the company's growth and profitability.

What We're Looking For:



Minimum 3 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in related service industries. Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work independently with the patience to manage sales cycles that can typically range from several weeks to a few months. Experience targeting private sector clients, particularly offices and corporate clients. Proven success in managing a sales pipeline and maintaining a top 20 prospects list. Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the drive to succeed. Willingness to travel within the region and to head office as required.

What We Offer:



Base Salary:

30,000/year

On-Target Earnings (OTE):

40-45k in the first year, with realistic potential to earn over 50-70k through uncapped commission if targets are exceeded from year two

Provided initially, with an option for a company car upon meeting targets.
