Job Title:
Business Development Manager
Based at:
Office or Field based. Role will require significant travel
Reports to:
Head of Sales & Marketing
Salary:
Commensurate to Skills and Experience. Will include Car allowance and a Commission structure.
Role overview:
To identify appropriate business opportunities for Staci and deliver new clients to the business in line with the overall company strategy and individual sales targets.
Decision making:
In conjunction with their colleagues the Sales Manager will be expected tohelp determine the most appropriate solution for the client and the relevant price structure, which will ultimately be agreed by the UK CEO.
Responsibilities:
The role does not include any management responsibilities.
Budgeting:
The role does not manage any cost centre budgets.
Personality:
Highly motivated, results oriented with a positive outlook and a clear focus on client satisfaction and commercial delivery. A highly creative and charismatic individual, able to effectively interface at all levels within the prospective clients, our suppliers and within our company. Smart appearance and articulate.
Key objectives:
To meet individual Sales targets and make appropriate contribution towards the team's achievement of annual revenue targets in terms of billed revenue.
To identify organisations and key decision makers / influencers within organisations to identify potential business opportunities.
To develop and maintain excellent customer / prospect relations with those identified to gain future opportunities for Staci.
To develop a suitable sales proposition for each new opportunity.
To prospect and research potential clients in line with the marketing plan and to support the marketing plan as directed by the Head of Sales & Marketing.
To build strong internal relationships with operational departments.
Undertake other reasonable duties as required in order to support the business.
Critical skills:
Demonstrable experience and success in winning high value (500k+) outsourced service contracts.
Sales experience with recognisable brands.
Exceptional client manner, strong and clear communication skills.
Excellent written communication.
Excellent communicator and effective presentation style.
Commercially aware i.e. able to analyse appropriate financial data and interpret to the commercial benefit of all parties.
Good standard of IT literacy, particularly Excel and PowerPoint products.
Able to work closely with Operational colleagues both on proposal / proposition development and also initial support of the implementation process
Likely Experience
:
>5 years experience in a Senior Sales role
Not moved role too frequently
Excellent network of contacts with major businesses
