BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

We are partnering with an exceptionally busy and forward thinking consultancy to find an experienced and strategic Business Development Manager to drive growth for their team. This role is responsible for identifying high-value project opportunities, developing relationships with key clients and stakeholders and supporting the implementation of regional business development initiatives aligned with the overall strategy, aspirations and skill set growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the engineering consultancy sector.

We are initially looking for this role to be Hybrid working and attached to offices in either Bristol, Warwick or Sheffield

Responsibilities:

? Generate significant business opportunities by engaging with senior stakeholders, including directors, developers and within the public sector.

? Identify and develop new business across key sectors to include commercial, residential, rail and industrial.

? Support local offices in the implementation of business development strategies that contribute to regional and national growth.

? Work closely with the technical teams to prepare high quality proposals and client presentations.

? Undertake market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, client needs, and emerging opportunities.

? Represent the company at industry events, conferences, networking functions, and client meetings to increase visibility.

? Maintain a structured pipeline of opportunities and produce regular updates, reports, and sales forecasts for senior management.

Qualifications:

? Minimum of 5 years experience in business development, sales, or client management, preferably within an engineering consultancy.

? Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

? Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.

? Additional consideration, an established network within the engineering industry.

? Experience of creating or supporting the creation of marketing content (case studies,

articles, social media) would be beneficial but not essential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: 40,000.00-65,000.00 per year
