Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Type: Permanent

Hours: 35 hours per week, Monday-Friday (Required to visit the Glasgow site once per week)

Job Location: Glasgow (Required to travel to the USA on a monthly basis)

Role overview as a Business Development Manager
  • To create, manage and deliver a Territory Sales Plan to help ensure the Company meets its revenue and local contribution targets. Traveling to our USA clients and sites on a monthly basis for approximately 2 weeks at a time (All expenses and travel will be paid for).
Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and key stakeholders.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement effective business development strategies.
  • Create and deliver compelling presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Negotiate and close deals, ensuring mutually beneficial agreements.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will be someone with extensive experience within sales, and hold a Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in Biotechnology or a related field in Drug Development / Life Sciences. We\'d also like to hear from candidates who;
  • Hold a Bachelor\'s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field, and would like to develop their career within the Pharmaceutical/ Biotherapeutics sector, (full training will be given if no experience in the industry).

  • Proven track record of success in business development, sales, or a related role.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
