McGovern Assessments is a fast-growing training and assessment provider specialising in construction-related qualifications, compliance courses, and workforce development. As we continue to expand nationwide, we are seeking an ambitious Business Development Manager to support and accelerate this next phase of growth.
We are looking for a motivated and results-driven Business Development Manager with proven experience in sales or account management. You will be responsible for generating new business, building client relationships, and promoting our expanding range of construction training and assessment services across local and national markets.
This is a full-time, office-based role located near Witham St Hughs, just 8 miles from both Lincoln and Newark. Remote or part-time working is not available.
Responsibilities
- Develop and convert new business opportunities across Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, and nationwide
- Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, SMEs, and national organisations
- Promote McGovern Assessments' portfolio of training courses, qualifications, and assessment services
- Achieve weekly and monthly sales targets and KPIs
- Manage and update CRM systems, pipelines, and client records
- Attend client meetings, networking events, and industry functions
- Work closely with internal teams to support onboarding and client experience
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Business Development, Sales, or Account Management
- Experience generating new business and working to sales targets
- Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels
- Excellent organisational skills and IT literacy
- A proactive, ambitious, and results-focused attitude
- Must be able to commute daily to our office near Witham St Hughs
(Construction or training-sector experience beneficial but not essential.)
