Role Overview:
As our Business Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our client base and developing strategic relationships across the civil engineering and construction sectors. Reporting to the Directors, you will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage key accounts, and work closely with pre-construction and estimating teams to develop competitive bids.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a strategic business development plan.
Identify, target, and win new business opportunities with main contractors, developers and end-clients.
Build long-term relationships with key stakeholders in the civils & construction industry.
Attend industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings across the region.
Collaborate with estimating and design teams to prepare bids and proposals.
Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, competitor activity, and opportunities within the civils and construction sectors.
Track and report on sales performance, pipeline, and key metrics.
Requirements:
Proven experience in business development within the Civil Engineering sector.
Strong network of contacts in North West the wider Northern region.
Commercial awareness with a deep understanding of Civils works.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across the region.
