A progressive global law firm is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Business Development Manager to develop and execute high quality business development and marketing initiatives in support of the Corporate and Digital Economy practice. The firm\'s Global Business Development team is located in major cities across EMEA, Asia Pacific and the US. They execute the firm\'s strategy and drive profitable growth, focusing on client experience, driving campaigns, leveraging client insights and managing strategic initiatives to service clients\' needs. The Corporate and Digital Economy practice is central to the success of the firm and is a leading practice across their network. The firm have huge ambitions for the future growth of the practice, which requires significant business development support to help realise their potential. Based in London, the role holder will manage the BD budget, monitoring spend and capturing ROI. You will work in conjunction with the BD team and key partners to develop and execute the BD strategy to maximise opportunities to grow revenue in line with the firm\'s strategic plan and will develop and lead strategic initiatives to meet business plan goals, evaluating progress on implementation. You will support Client Relationship Partners to develop and execute client plans for key clients to help deepen relationships and drive profitable growth and will take a client facing role including conducting, capturing and ensuring the firm acts on client feedback. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for managing and supporting the entire opportunity pursuit process, identifying opportunities, managing opportunity tracking processes, preparing client-focused sales collateral and coordinating partners around pipelines and strategic pursuits. On the marketing side, the successful applicant will support integrated campaigns, thought leadership, events and other market facing activities, working collaboratively with the firm\'s industry teams and comms and marketing specialists, to raise the practice\'s profile in key markets. The ideal candidate will hold a good university degree or equivalent and must have significant business development experience gained within a law or professional services environment, to include demonstrated experience of leading and coaching teams on pursuits and clients. The Business Development Manager will require good people management skills, particularly experience in engaging with partners and senior management, as well as developing and nurturing junior team members. The ability to juggle a busy and varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines will be essential. Any previous client facing experience and experience supporting Corporate practices will be highly advantageous.
