This is an exciting 9 to 12 month fixed term contract opportunity for a communications specialist to join the friendly and ambitious team of a global law firm, to enhance the firm\'s global profile through strategic marketing and communication initiatives. Leading a team of four direct reports, the Senior Communications Manager, will act as a strategic advisor, guiding marketing campaigns and general communications and driving best practices across the firm. You will be required to foster strong relationships within the firm, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure a unified approach to marketing and communications, and provide guidance and support to partners and lawyers on effective communication and marketing strategies. At a strategic level, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing and communication plans on a global scale, in collaboration with various offices and practices, and overseeing the firm\'s editorial board, ensuring content excellence and development of centralised narratives. In addition, the role holder will have editorial responsibilities including directing and managing the creation and distribution of compelling and effective content across various marketing channels and drafting, reviewing and editing content for various purposes, providing strategic guidance on content creation and ensuring all content aligns with the firm\'s brand and communication standards. The successful applicant will also oversee content on firm\'s website homepage, ensuring it is regularly updated and reflects brand messaging, and will collaborate with colleagues on special projects including new technologies to be adopted by the communications team and how best to optimise these. You will be degree educated or equivalent with extensive professional services corporate communications and business writing experience, ideally gained within a law firm. Detail-oriented and organised, with excellent oral communication skills and exceptional writing and editing skills, including a knowledge of Associated Press style, the Senior Communications Manager will be a proactive team player who enjoys working in collaborative organisations. The ideal candidate will also possess a good understanding of strategy and a proven ability to deal with complex subject matter.
