Business Development Manager
to help accelerate our growth by cultivating new business relationships and strengthening existing partnerships within the property sector.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives on connecting with people - from estate agents and solicitors to mortgage brokers and developers - and can translate those relationships into tangible business opportunities. You'll represent the firm at client meetings, industry events, and networking functions, helping to elevate our profile while driving measurable revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities
Business Growth:
Identify and secure new business opportunities through proactive outreach and strategic networking.
Relationship Management:
Build and nurture lasting relationships with key industry partners including estate agents, solicitors, mortgage brokers, and developers.
Client Engagement:
Represent the company professionally at client lunches, dinners, and networking events, fostering trust and long-term collaboration.
Market Insight:
Conduct regular market research to stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and client needs.
Sales Strategy:
Develop and manage a structured sales pipeline using CRM software (e.g., Salesforce) to track leads, opportunities, and conversions. Chase leads with the aim to convert.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the surveying team and senior leadership to align business development activities with company goals.
Marketing Support:
Collaborate with marketing to design and deliver outreach campaigns that enhance brand visibility and generate new leads.
Reporting:
Provide regular updates and analysis of performance metrics, ensuring transparency and data-driven decision-making.
Negotiation & Closing:
Negotiate agreements with professionalism, ensuring mutual benefit for both clients and the firm.
Qualifications & Skills
Proven experience in
business development, sales, or client relationship management
, ideally within the
property, surveying, or professional services sectors
.
Proficiency in
CRM software
such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms.
Strong interpersonal and networking abilities, with confidence in attending client-facing events.
Excellent
communication and negotiation skills
, both written and verbal.
Organised and self-motivated, capable of managing multiple relationships and projects simultaneously.
A proactive, results-oriented mindset with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Qualifications in
business, marketing, or property-related disciplines
are advantageous but not essential.
