We are seeking an experienced Business Development Manager to drive growth across commercial, government, and defense markets. The successful candidate will identify strategic opportunities, build high-value partnerships, and convert advanced technical capabilities into scalable business outcomes. This role requires strong experience in deep technology commercialization, preferably with a background in cybersecurity, and the ability to engage confidently with both technical experts and senior decision-makers.
Responsibilities
Develop and execute business development strategies for AI- and quantum-enabled solutions.
Identify and prioritise opportunities in cybersecurity, defence, intelligence, critical infrastructure, and regulated industries.
Conduct market analysis to assess emerging threats, technology trends, and customer needs.
Lead the full business development lifecycle: lead generation, qualification, proposal development, negotiation, and deal closure.
Support grant funding, public procurement, and innovation programs where applicable.
Work closely with engineering and research teams to translate complex AI and quantum technologies into compelling value propositions.
Articulate technical differentiation clearly to non-technical stakeholders while maintaining technical credibility.
Contribute to pricing models, go-to-market strategies, and commercial roadmaps.
Skills
Proven experience in business development, partnerships, or strategic sales within deep technology environments.
Strong preference for experience in cybersecurity, including enterprise security, cyber defence, threat intelligence, or secure systems.
Ability to understand and communicate advanced technical concepts in AI, quantum computing, or related fields.
Experience managing complex sales cycles and multi-stakeholder engagements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
