What you will do



We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our Banking & Finance vertical. This pivotal role will focus on uncovering new opportunities and nurturing relationships with prospective clients across the financial services sector. The successful candidate will engage with stakeholders at all levels within prospective customer organizations, fostering connections that lead to new business opportunities.



How you will do it



Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the banking and finance sector.

Establish and nurture relationships with prospective clients, understanding their needs and positioning Johnson Controls' comprehensive portfolio of products and solutions.

Engage with stakeholders at all levels within client organizations to build long-lasting partnerships.

Utilise Salesforce CRM to record activities, manage leads, and track progress against set targets.

Develop and implement strategic plans to generate leads, increase revenue, and capture market share.

Work collaboratively with internal teams to ensure successful bid submissions and client onboarding.

Once accounts are established, facilitate a smooth handover to account managers while continuing to focus on new business development.

Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform business development strategies.



Key Performance Metrics:



Activity recording and lead generation.

Revenue growth within the vertical.

Market share expansion in the target segment.

Acquisition of new corporate clients (new logo acquisition).



What we look for



Proven experience in business development or a sales environment, preferably within the banking and finance sector or in support of multinational corporate blue-chip organisations.

Demonstrated success in landing new corporate clients and achieving sales targets.

Strong understanding of banking and financial services operations and challenges.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

Self-motivated and results-driven, with a proactive approach to opportunity identification and relationship building.

Familiarity with Salesforce CRM or similar sales tracking software is preferred.

Objection handling skills

Willingness to travel nationally and potentially internationally as required.

Hold a valid UK driving licence
