We are seeking an experienced and motivated Business Development Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, identifying new business opportunities, and building strong client relationships within the freight forwarding sector.

Main responsibilities/Duties:

Identify, target, and win new business across the UK within the Drainage and Groundworks industry Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, contractors, and stakeholders in niche markets, including construction, utilities, and local authorities Lead the end-to-end tender process, including sourcing opportunities, preparing, and submitting high-quality bids and proposals Work closely with operations and project teams to ensure seamless onboarding, service delivery, and project execution Manage client relationships from initial contact through to long-term account growth and repeat business Provide regular updates on business development activity, tender pipeline, and overall performance

Skills and Experience:

Proven track record in business development or sales within drainage, civil engineering, or construction services Experience in sourcing, preparing, and submitting tenders for public and private sector projects Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify and pursue growth opportunities Self-motivated, proactive, and comfortable managing your own schedule and pipeline Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
