Our Roofing Division specialises in pitched and flat roofing, lead work, new build roofing, and maintenance contracts for both domestic and commercial clients.
Summary
As part of our ongoing growth, we are seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Manager (BDM) to expand our client base, secure new contracts, and help shape the future of the roofing division.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic business development plans to increase market share.
Generating and converting new business opportunities across London and surrounding areas.
Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients.
Identify new business opportunities within the construction and roofing sectors.
Managing tenders, quotations, and follow-ups to secure new contracts.
Conduct market research to stay ahead of industry trends.
Prepare proposals and presentations for potential clients.
Represent Hodgson and Sons Ltd at industry events and networking functions.
Reporting weekly on pipeline, conversion rates, and upcoming opportunities.
Qualifications
Proven experience in business development essential within the construction or roofing industry ( preferred )
Strong knowledge of CRM software, particularly xero / pipe drive
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to develop strategic plans aligned with company goals.
Self-motivated with a proactive approach.
Valid driving license
Degree or relevant qualification in business or construction management is advantageous.
