This is a hybrid role working 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.
Role Purpose
Execute against the sales strategy to deliver the AF lending target
Manage a team of broker managers
Build relationships with principals of key brokers / customer
Key Responsibilities
New Business
Build and identify broker relationships enabling superior return for risk and generate appropriate business plans
Prepare marketing and sales plans, including developing relationships with targeted professional brokers
Analyse, negotiate and structure proposals so that they may be presented to Credit Committee for approval
Progress sanctioned proposals to drawdown with the help of the asset finance credit and administration staff.
Customers - Brokers & Intermediaries
Generate business through the Bank's existing contacts and own contacts and initiatives
Maintain & build relationships through meetings and regular contact
Encourage flow of repeat business
Maintain efficient and professional service, and good broker/banker relationship.
Credit & Portfolio Management
Responsibility for credit assessment, income performance and risk management for deals introduced
Liaison with Bank Directors and/or Credit Committee, as appropriate.
General Matters
Maintain and improve policies and procedures for the asset finance business unit
Any other matters required to be done to assist in the achievement of the Bank's budget and business development plans
Credit and Administration tasks as required, to contribute to the effective and efficient operation of the Asset Finance Department
Skills and Experience
BDM AF experience
Experience preparing credit papers and an in analysing financial information.
Good working knowledge and understanding of Asset Finance and corporate transport and construction assets.
Very well networked in the AF broker market
Ability to communicate accurately, both verbally and in writing.
Credible and experienced presenting to brokers
A track record of being able to engage directly at director level within customers
