With a robust presence in the Midlands, our client is poised to expand into a new facility and requires an adept Business Development Manager to lead this expansion.
This role will focus on contract logistics and European Road sales, with the primary objective of acquiring new, profitable road freight customers in the Midlands region.

Salary: \xc2\xa332,000 - \xc2\xa342,000 (Depending on Experience)

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Strategically identify, cultivate, and secure new business opportunities within the Midlands market on behalf of our client.
  • Develop and manage an extensive prospect pipeline, ensuring it aligns with and surpasses the company\'s targets and ambitions.
  • Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, aligning our client\'s solutions with precision to meet these requirements.
  • Maintain meticulous records of sales activities and processes, utilising the CRM system effectively.
  • Oversee the seamless onboarding of new clients, ensuring alignment with projected go-live dates.
  • Exhibit a relentless commitment to achieving goals, paired with outstanding organization, proactivity, and boundless energy.
  • Drive consistent growth in gross profit and achievement of revenue targets.
Qualifications, Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
  • An exceptional understanding of storage and international logistics is highly advantageous.
  • A proven track record in B2B sales, particularly with businesses boasting a turnover of over \xc2\xa3150,000.
  • Exceptional relationship-building skills, capable of fostering enduring client partnerships.
  • Possession of a valid UK driving license and willingness to travel as required.
  • Demonstrated ability to secure sales in a field sales/account management capacity.
  • A customer-centric approach, underscored by impeccable communication skills.
  • Proficiency in negotiation, coupled with unwavering attention to detail and precision.
  • Proven experience in stakeholder management and networking to drive results.
