The Role:



The Business Development Manager will be primarily responsible for leveraging sales expertise to expand revenue and market share within an assigned territory and portfolio of accounts. This role is centered on driving meaningful account growth by cultivating strong relationships with senior internal and external stakeholders, developing new business opportunities through strategic outreach, and identifying and converting prospective clients.

You will oversee and coordinate sales efforts to ensure seamless client communication, successful onboarding of new accounts, and exceptional stakeholder engagement throughout the sales cycle.



Key Responsibilities



Sales & Business Development



Utilize a variety of lead generation channels--including professional networks, events/conferences, social media, lead gen tools and direct outreach--to identify, engage, and build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers within prospective and existing client organizations. Develop strategic account plans to uncover upsell and cross-sell opportunities, schedule regular engagement touchpoints, set renewal timelines, and drive other account-specific initiatives. Execute highly targeted, multi-step outreach campaigns to both new prospects and existing clients to foster pipeline development and uncover growth opportunities. Respond to outreach inquiries: handle objections, share relevant details, prepare for sales engagements, and ensure timely and effective follow-up communication. Share client insights, market feedback, and competitive intelligence with internal teams to inform product development and go-to-market strategies.



Sales Operations & Administration



Record and monitor all sales activities using CRM tools and other designated systems. Maintain accurate and up-to-date account and contact information within the CRM. Lead the development of customized commercial proposals, pricing quotes, and service agreements for new or expanded client engagements. Track and analyze sales performance metrics and KPIs to ensure alignment with targets and identify areas for improvement.



Qualification and Skills:



Required:



Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Experience:

6+ years of relevant sales experience (include specific industry experience, if applicable).

Communication Skills:

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.



Other Necessary Skills:



Demonstrated success in new business development and/or account management roles Highly organized self-starter with strong multi-tasking abilities Proven ability to collaborate across departments and manage multiple stakeholders Flexible and comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
