You\xe2\x80\x99ll be someone who is both comfortable working proactively and managing your own tasks, as well as confident collaborating with others and communicating regularly with senior managers, directors, and BDO\xe2\x80\x99s partners to help businesses effectively. You\xe2\x80\x99ll be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing our delivery and providing additional services to organisations we work with. In this role you\xe2\x80\x99ll:

  • Manage and monitor the sales pipelines, support with managing pursuits, and working with Key Account Managers to ensure prospects are engaged and momentum to win maintained.
  • Provide tender support, advise on tender strategy and engage with the central bids team to debrief on bid performance as necessary.
  • Proactively engage in market trends to help the business open doors to new work opportunities and targets.
  • Build activity that strengthens relationships with potential targets and existing clients through liaison with other advisers (i.e. lawyers, brokers and NOMADs) for referrals.
  • Act as a marketing & BD advisor to the Sector Head and other partners to design, develop and deliver a go-to-market strategy that supports growth plans.
  • Project manage all campaigns (thought leadership, virtual and in person events, technical reports, videos, podcasts and email marketing) under the plan, working with different teams across the firm to ensure timely delivery within budget. As necessary personally participate in external events.
  • Take responsibility for managing and monitoring marketing budgets.
  • Be a champion and advocate for the deployment of digital marketing channels and seamless integration into the campaign management.
  • Champion the use of CRM and actively manage data quality.
  • Regularly review the effectiveness of campaigns by analysing post-activity reports and seeking feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Monitor trade publications\xe2\x80\x99 activity to proactively identify potential PR opportunities.
  • Raise the Natural Resources & Energy sector\xe2\x80\x99s internal profile by promoting wins and strategic work to the wider firm.
  • Engage with BDO International Natural Resources & Energy campaign opportunities developed by the BDO Global Natural Resources & Energy team as appropriate.
You\xe2\x80\x99ll be someone with:
  • A strong Business Development and Marketing skillset.
  • An ability to persuade, influence and challenge client-facing teams (including partners) in a constructive manner and identify appropriate solutions.
  • A positive and \xe2\x80\x98can do\xe2\x80\x99 attitude and is able to build strong relationships with contacts across the firm at all levels.
  • Strong project management skills and an ability to be flexible, prioritise and reprioritise workload and to delegate where necessary.
  • Experience working in a professional services environment (Desirable)
  • Knowledge of, or a keen interest in, the renewable energy and natural resources sector.
