We operate globally, serving dynamic markets where the demand for ethical, consistent, and high-quality cell culture reagents is escalating.

The Role



We are seeking a highly motivated, independent, and commercially driven Business Development Manager to take full ownership of our commercial function. This is a critical leadership role for an individual who is ready to build and scale the sales pipeline, manage key accounts, and drive the adoption of our CityMix and CytoBoost products worldwide.

Key Responsibilities



Commercial Ownership



Lead and manage the full commercial function--prospecting, nurturing, closing, and retaining customers.

Functional Leadership



Build and develop the sales team in line with goals and targets.

Key Account Management



Develop and manage strong relationships with strategic customers, acting as their primary point of contact.

Long Sales Cycle Leadership



Drive complex, long-term sales processes with structure, persistence, and strategic insight.

Customer Interaction



Deliver high-impact engagement across face-to-face meetings, online calls, telesales, and email correspondence.

Technical Guidance



Provide customers with informed technical support, troubleshooting, and product application advice.

Pipeline & Forecasting



Build, manage, and report on the commercial pipeline with accurate forecasting and operational planning.

CRM Ownership



Maintain high-quality data and reporting within HubSpot (experience preferred).

Contract Negotiation



Support and lead elements of negotiating and finalising commercial agreements.

Commercial Strategy & Execution



Develop new commercial ideas, campaigns, and directions--then execute them independently.

Cross-Team Collaboration



Work closely with internal teams (technical, operations, marketing) to ensure alignment and support for customer needs.

Social Media Engagement



Plan the creation of regular commercial-facing content on social media with support from in-house social media team.

Adaptability & Initiative



Take ownership of new tasks, handle changing priorities, and consistently go above and beyond.

About You

Proven ownership of long, technical B2B sales cycles.

Strong experience with key account management.

(Essential)

Sufficiently technical fluency to sell credibly into cell culture users.

(Essential)

Experience using HubSpot or similar CRM tools .

Ability to operate independently in a small company.

(Essential)

Experience in technical or scientific sales, ideally as the primary or lead salesperson in a team. Confident communicator in person, online, and over the phone. Skilled in telesales and proactive outreach. Excellent written communication for professional and persuasive email correspondence. Ability to provide technical support and understand product applications.

Understanding of contract negotiation principles. Creative, commercially minded thinker who can define and execute new ideas. Highly independent, self-directed, and comfortable taking full ownership of a commercial function. Flexible, resourceful, and willing to go above and beyond. Interest in supporting social media and marketing activities. Experience or demonstrable capability to apply agentic AI in developing and executing a targeted sales and marketing plan
