Business Development Manager - Supported Living

Accountable to:



Senior Leadership Team

Location:



You would work for the CQC Registered service based in Nottingham and currently operating in Nottingham and Lincoln.

Hours of Employment:



Full time - 40 hours per week

Organisation Overview:



Our Supported Living Service has been operating since 2020; however, the Safe Haven Group's first company have been operating since 2013 and have a proven track record with the Local Authorities they serve, in providing care and support to young people and vulnerable adults.

Safe Sanctuary Living provides high-quality supported living services across Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire. We work with local authorities, social care professionals, and partner organisations to provide safe, stable placements for adults with support needs. Our focus is on delivering person-centred support, improving outcomes, and growing our supported living provision.

We are now seeking a Business Development Manager to help drive our next phase of expansion.

Job Summary:



To identify, develop, and secure new opportunities within the supported living sector, strengthen relationships, increasing referrals, and supporting sustainable growth across all Safe Sanctuary Living services.

Key Responsibilities:



Business Development & Growth:



Identify new referral sources and partnership opportunities within adult social care and supported living. Build strong relationships with commissioning teams, social workers, brokerage teams, NHS services, housing teams, and community organisations. Research supported living tenders, frameworks, and local authority needs. Drive referrals to ensure strong occupancy across all supported living properties. Promote our supported living services to key stakeholders.

Relationship Management:



Maintain regular engagement with existing partners to secure long-term collaboration Attend sector meetings, professional events, and networking sessions representing Safe Sanctuary Living. Follow up on enquiries, referrals, and leads promptly and professionally.

Strategic Contribution:



Support the leadership team with strategic planning and development of new supported living service models. Provide insights on local authority demands, market gaps, and service needs. Prepare weekly/monthly reports, forecasts, and performance updates for senior management.

Marketing & Promotion:



Work with the internal team to enhance our visibility within the supported living market. Support creation of promotional materials, service brochures, and case studies. Assist with outreach campaigns and targeted marketing to professionals and commissioning teams.

Qualifications/Experience/Skills/Person Specification:



Skills & Experience Required:



Experience in business development, referrals, commissioning, or account management (ideally within social care or supported living). Strong networking and relationship-building skills. Understanding of supported living, adult social care pathways, and local authority structures (desirable but not essential). Confidence identifying opportunities, presenting services, and closing partnership agreements. Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Professional communication and organisational skills.
