Position Overview



The Business Development Manager will play a key role in driving organisational growth by identifying new business opportunities, building strong partnerships, and enhancing London Beacon Academy's presence within the education and training sector. The ideal candidate will be proactive, results-driven, and capable of taking ownership of growth initiatives from concept through to execution.

Key Responsibilities



Develop and implement strategic business development plans to achieve growth targets. Identify, research, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and funding streams. Foster and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, local authorities, educational partners, and community organisations. Represent London Beacon Academy at events, networking meetings, job fairs, and industry forums. Lead proposal writing, tender submissions, and partnership agreements. Work closely with internal teams to support programme design, delivery, and marketing activities. Monitor market trends to identify emerging opportunities and competitive positioning. Prepare regular progress reports, performance metrics, and business development projections.

Skills & Experience



Proven experience in business development, partnership engagement, or sales--preferably within the education, training, or non-profit sector. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills. Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with diverse stakeholders. Highly organized, self-motivated, and target-driven. Knowledge of funded training programmes (e.g., AEB, apprenticeships) is desirable. Competent in CRM systems, proposal writing, and data-driven reporting.
