Job Description


Yarway Group are looking for an experienced and tenacious BDM to join us during a period of growth and scale. We are looking for someone with specific experience in selling commercial courses and programmes to employers of various size and scale. Across the group, we provide a range of government funded training, as well as a commercial, full-costed offering, across leadership and management (through our subsidiary Active Learning and Development), as well health and social care and mandatory training (through our subsidiary Heathercroft Training Services). Working to sell and upsell our commercial programmes across our group of companies, you will be instrumental in supporting our organic growth strategy, working alongside the Directors and SLT, to develop compelling propositions as part of our full 360 sales offering and overall growth strategy. The post holder will be responsible for generating new business, identifying, targeting and converting a range of sales opportunities with local and national employers. Success in the post will be determined by the effective acquisition of employers to meet ambitious company targets and individual targets, and a robust engagement and consultation strategy for businesses to offer one of our many leadership and management, health and social care, or mandatory training packages, bespoked to their specific needs. Skills and Experience The successful candidate MUST have:

  • A track record of generating commercial sales (B2B) with Blue Chip and Levy employers consistently. Leadership and Management sales, Health and Social Care sales, or Mandatory Training sales (advantageous)
  • The desire to be a leading figure and representative of the business, with a passion for being involved in a small, but growing company
  • Sound knowledge and experience of commercial training and its benefits for customers of varying size
  • The ability and enthusiasm to be influential in driving the business forward through generating and converting new sales and managing a range of employers across a national footprint
  • Experience working independently to drive performance, but also working as part of a wider team to capitalise on upsell and cross-sell opportunities
  • Experience working with a marketing department to generate leads and convert leads into revenue generating sales
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Generate new business opportunities through a systematic, methodical approach. Proactively engaging with new companies to explore their needs for leadership and management, health and social care or mandatory training.
  • Convert sales opportunities through a personalised and personable approach to business development, ensuring each employers needs are met and company values are at the forefront of client engagement.
  • Create and maintain employer relationships, managing them appropriately throughout their lifecycle through exceptional relationship management.
  • Ensure effective communication across the team and across Yarway Group\'s range of companies for any potential cross selling opportunities.
  • Deliver high levels of customer service and satisfaction at all times, ensuring the employers requirements are met and exceptional customer satisfaction is provided.
  • Maintain a clean and concise database of leads, prospects and conversions through a CRM system.
  • Produce all relevant documentation / reports in line with requirements of the role.
  • Spearhead the business in the development of sales initiatives and strategies to support with the engagement of employers across a range of industries, sectors and geographies.
