The Catering Unit consists of two main product suites:

Cypad provides web-based software for school meal catering to local authorities and caterers. Our systems are used by 70 authorities covering 5,500 schools across the UK to improve kitchen management and the delivery of catering in schools.

BlueRunner is a leading provider of cashless catering and meal ordering SAAS solutions. Delivering catering software to the Education sector is a key focus with a portfolio of specialised solutions including school meal ordering, Point of Sale, pre-order and click and collect applications which are all designed to increase operational efficiency, drive revenue and facilitate in depth reporting analytics and insights to customer behaviour for catering providers.



As one of the team of BDM's, you will play a pivotal role in driving the company's growth by expanding our customer base, and maximizing revenue. You will work in a small team of skilled sales professionals and be responsible for revenue generation for the Catering arm of the business.

Reporting to the Head of New Business - Caterers, you will be responsible for the business growth and increased contribution of the BlueRunner and Cypad product ranges within your group of schools, LA's, MAT's and Caterers.

You will have extensive knowledge of the key markets, catering, enterprise and education, and understand the drivers and the customer buying journey.

You will have responsibility for a new sales target in excess of 250k.

You will be a versatile, engaging, and eloquent individual with extensive experience working with people at all levels within a client-facing role.

You will be expected to identify new customer sales opportunities as well as targeting the existing customer base for upsell.

You will be working closely and collaboratively with the Payments and Parental Engagement sales teams , sharing information, leads and opportunities to maximise product sales.

The role will require you to have extensive experience in the catering and education sector. In depth knowledge of school catering and company products and services is essential. You will possess strong commercial awareness and will advocate collaboration and a willingness to adapt to continuous change to deliver success.

A considerable amount of travel should be expected with some requirement for overnight stays.

Key Responsibilities





New Business Development

:

Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including targeting and acquiring new clients, expanding into new markets, and building strategic partnerships.

Sales Forecasting

:

Develop and maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline, track key performance metrics, and regularly report on and be accountable for the team's progress.

Market Analysis

:

Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and market conditions to make informed decisions and adapt the sales strategy accordingly.

Process Optimisation:



Provide information to operational and product teams to streamline processes and improve service delivery by highlighting issues


Cross department collaboration:



Work closely with Sales, Key Accounts, Product and Support teams to ensure a seamless client experience.

Provide feedback to internal teams on client needs and product enhancements.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise





The successful candidate will have :Thorough understanding of enterprise accounts, school catering and management at school (including MATs), LA and caterer levels Significant and demonstrable experience of success in a sales role Recent record of sales experience and closing deals Strong communication and relationship building skills with the confidence to work with senior leadership Excellent written and verbal communication skills Superior problem-solving skills, but with the common sense to escalate when appropriate Enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work well as a self-starter with minimal direction Aptitude for learning new technologies Demonstrated proficiency with common technology e.g. email, internet, Excel and Word Demonstrated ability to prioritise and multi-task Proven ability to collaborate and work effectively with internal and external stakeholders advocating for all Group brands Ability to translate customer and market requirements into deliverable solutions Vision for the future of catering in education
