Job Summary



We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Overseas Sales and Business Development Manager to drive the strategic growth of RYCO Hydraulics products across the Scandinavian territory (Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland). The successful candidate will be responsible for expanding our market presence, managing existing distributor and OEM relationships, and identifying and securing new business opportunities within key sectors such as mining, construction, forestry, and marine applications. This role requires a strong technical aptitude for hydraulic systems and a proven track record in international sales and business development.

Key Responsibilities

. Sales and Account Management



Achieve and exceed assigned sales targets and KPIs for the Scandinavian region. Manage and grow key accounts with existing distributors, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and end-users. Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to the unique economic and industry landscapes of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Conduct regular sales visits and presentations to customers, showcasing the technical superiority and value proposition of RYCO's hydraulic fluid conveyance products. Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and market feedback to the UK management team.

2. Business Development & Market Expansion



Identify and secure new business opportunities through market analysis, cold calling, networking, and industry event attendance. Recruit, onboard, and develop new distribution partners to expand market reach in underserved areas. Conduct in-depth market research to understand competitor activity, pricing structures, and industry trends to inform strategy. Drive the introduction and adoption of new RYCO products (e.g., new isobaric or specialised hose lines, one-piece crimp fittings) to the regional market.

3. Technical & Commercial Support



Act as the primary technical liaison for customers, providing product training, application support, and troubleshooting guidance on hydraulic hose assemblies, couplings, and crimping equipment. Negotiate commercial terms, pricing, and contracts in line with company policies. Ensure customer satisfaction by coordinating with internal departments (e.g., logistics, engineering, customer service) to address inquiries and resolve issues promptly. Monitor and ensure adherence to international standards (e.g., ISO, SAE, DIN) relevant to the hydraulic industry in the Scandinavian market.

Required Qualifications & Experience



Proven track record (minimum 5 years) in overseas B2B technical sales, preferably within the hydraulics, fluid power, or industrial components sector. Strong technical knowledge of hydraulic systems, hoses, fittings, and assembly procedures. Demonstrable experience in business development and distributor/OEM management. Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills. Fluency in English is essential. Proficiency in a Scandinavian language (Swedish, Norwegian, or Danish) is highly desirable. Willingness and ability to travel frequently across the Scandinavian territory (estimated 50% travel). Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field is preferred.
