Business Development Manager
.
Key Responsibilities:
Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within Scotland across target sectors.
Manage the full sales cycle from lead generation to closing, including site visits, presentations, and tender submissions.
Develop tailored proposals and pricing strategies for prospective clients.
Strengthen and grow existing customer relationships, with a focus on upselling and cross-selling.
Promote Diamond's full product range, with a particular focus on
PPE, fasteners, Fixings, Tools, Consumables, and Vending/VMI solutions
.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for new customers.
Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback to inform strategy.
Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and networking opportunities.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Proven track record in B2B sales, preferably within industrial, engineering supplies, or a related sector.
Strong understanding of
vending solutions and Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI)
systems is highly desirable.
Confident communicator with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
Commercially astute with strong negotiation skills.
Organised, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a field-based role.
Full UK driving licence.
