Key Role:
WTA Far North are looking for a Business Development Manager to join the expanding Sales team.
Key Responsibilities:
Identify and target potential clients within designated industries and geographical regions to generate new business leads.
Conduct research to understand client needs, industry trends and competitive landscape to effectively position our services and differentiate us from competitors.
Utilise various sales strategies to engage prospects and schedule meetings with key decision-makers.
Manage the entire sales process from initial contact to contract negotiation and closure, ensuring a seamless transition to the operations team for service implementation.
Stay informed about industry developments, market trends, and regulatory changes that may impact our business.
To be accountable for building a pipeline and showcasing the activity you are completing to build a pipeline and close deals by updating and using HubSpot to its fullest.
Skills & Experience:
Experience in a sales role within the freight forwarding or logistics industry.
Consultative value selling, shaping opportunities with the customer, and building long-term relationships.
Industry Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international logistics, supply chain management, and freight forwarding operations (Air, Ocean, Road, Customs Clearance)
Sales Expertise: Proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales targets. Consultative salesperson who can sell against a business strategy and can expand further.
Strong sales skills (prospecting, qualifying, campaign management).
Pipeline: Build out pipelines through a variety of methods, including networking activity.
Is used to growing pipelines, opening up accounts and closing business deals.
Location:
Remote, preferably in Scotland or North England region.
