Your new role




As a

Business Development Manager

, you'll be focused on identifying new opportunities to onboard new clients and win work across the construction sector (consultancy, civil engineering, construction and utilities). Responsible for building new client and partner relationships, ensuring they are established, developed and maintained to enhance our reputation and increase framework usage.


The Business Development Manager will work with the SCAPE Scotland team to deliver the targets set within the Business Plan. You'll be focused on identifying new business opportunities, and develop a credible pipeline of project opportunities, driving the continued growth and success of the SCAPE Scotland.


The role covers Scotland and is predominantly a field based role, so you need to be comfortable working independently and on the move.


You'll also need to build collaborative relationships with existing teams across the Frameworks (marketing, performance, framework management, business development) to ensure the quality of your business development activity is consistent and the client service experience is exemplary.





What you'll bring




Proven track record of developing and delivering strategic business growth and improvement plans as a field based

Business Development Manager

.


You'll have experience in the construction / built environment sector, including procurement, pre-construction and the construction process including the use of frameworks. Public Sector experience is a real advantage.


Experience of using information management tools in relation to business development including CRM and PowerBI.


Be able to evidence gathering research and market intelligence, to inform decisions and drive performance improvement.


Degree level qualification in construction, property, business management or significant experience in this field.
