What you'll be able to offer
Proven track record in a "hunter" sales role, ideally within Building Optimisation, BEMS, or energy efficiency sectors.
Proficient in CRM tools (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) and comfortable managing structured sales pipelines.
Strong command of sales methodologies (e.g., MEDDIC, Challenger, SPIN) and disciplined execution of the sales cycle.
Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
Strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen and a drive to exceed targets.
High levels of resilience, curiosity, and competitiveness in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrates emotional intelligence and relationship management capabilities.
Flexible, collaborative, and driven team player with a passion for sustainability.
Full UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.

What you'll actually do
Identify and develop new business opportunities across target sectors, using insight-driven strategies and proactive outreach.
Build and nurture trusted, long-term relationships with prospective clients and key decision-makers, including operational leads and C-suite executives.
Lead the end-to-end sales cycle -- from initial contact through to successful contract agreement -- ensuring a client-centric, consultative approach.
Understand complex client needs and position Optimised's solutions to support their strategic goals and deliver measurable value.
Create compelling, tailored proposals and presentations, collaborating with internal teams to strengthen positioning and increase bid success rates.
Drive revenue growth through strategic cross-selling and upselling of services across Building Optimisation, Energy, and Net Zero portfolios.
Manage the smooth transition of new contracts into delivery, ensuring clear handover to operations and high levels of client satisfaction.
Monitor service performance during early-stage delivery and support issue resolution, feeding insight into future business development efforts.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of market trends, sustainability regulations, and technological innovations in the energy and built environment sectors.
Promote digital engagement by encouraging client adoption of tools such as the Optimised Client Portal to support long-term partnership.
Collaborate closely with Marketing, Operations, and Leadership teams to influence commercial strategy and enhance client experience.
Represent Optimised at industry events and client forums, building the company's profile and identifying new routes to market.
